Job Description | This job involves maintaining and enhancing the Xen hypervisor, QEMU and dom0 linux kernel so that they run on new platforms, and provide a better user experience in the Virtual Machines. This entails - - improving existing VM device support - supporting more devices in the VMs - performance enhancements - debugging problems that may be found - creating functional/design documentation where necessary - working with QA to ensure proper test coverage - development of para-virtualized drivers for Linux/Windows as needed" |
Desired Profile | "Position Requirements : - 5+ years of software development experience in Xen/XCI and Linux on x86 PCs - Working knowledge of using Xen/XCI to configure/start/stop VMs - Understanding of paravirtual drivers for the VMs - In-depth understanding of the QEMU device model - Ability to understand and modify shell scripts and daemons - Ability to take existing software and understand it well enough to extend or modify it - Experience debugging windows kernel/drivers a plus - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Must be able to write functional/design documentation - Must be able to write and execute unit test plans - Ability to analyze, isolate, describe and prioritize defects in a complex software/hardware environment - Organized, thorough, and detail oriented - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Qualification: - Bachelor's degree. ( BE/B.Tech CS or equivalent preferred). OR - Master's degree (ME/MTech/MS CS or equivalent preferred)." |
