Indian Overseas Bank Recruitment 2011

Indian Overseas Bank ( IOB ) was founded on 10th February 1937 by Shri.M.Ct.M. Chidambaram Chettyar. It is a major bank in Madras with 2018 domestic branches and six branches overseas. It also has a network of about 771 ATMs all over India and IOB’s International VISA Debit Card is accepted at all ATMs belonging to the Cash Tree and NFS networks. Its head quarter is located in Chennai.


IOB invites applications from Indian Citizens for the post of Probationary Officer in Junior Management Grade Scale – I and the details are as following :

* Probationary Officer in Junior Management Grade Scale – JMGS I

Total no. of post : 1000 ( SC – 146, ST – 96, OBC – 263, General – 495 )

Pay scale : Rs.14500 – 600/7-18700-700/2-20100-800/7-25700 plus DA, HRA, CCA as per rules in force from time to time.

Age limit : Minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years of age as on 1st January 2011

Qualification : Candidate should be graduate in any discipline with minimum 60% Marks and should have the knowledge of computers . Diploma in Banking & Finance (DBF) from Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) is a desirable qualification.

Last date for ONLINE Registration : 1st March 2011

Date of written examination : 22nd May 2011 ( Sunday )

Application fees : Rs. 400/- ( Rs. 50/- for SC / ST / PH ) has to be paid in cash only at any Branch of Indian Overseas
