| Job Description | •Candidates must have an Associates degree in Drafting/Design. At least three years experience working specifically in the aerospace/aircraft field using CATIA V5. •Proven ability to generate and revise detailed Drawings in CATIA V5. Update, prepare and present technical drawings & 3D CAD models to internal and external customers. •Must be able to produce accurate mid-level detail drawings and small assemblies of Aerospace Products from partial sketches, verbal discussions, and/or reference material with minimal supervision. •Maintain technical capabilities concurrent with execution of position responsibilities with a full understanding of GD&T using latest ANSI standards. •Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing or orally with proven ability to work in cross-functional teams. •Familiarity with CAD data exchange formats is a plus. Knowledge of PDM is a plus. •Computer and Office applications literate. Familiarity with the design, test and analysis tools relevant to the function. •Perform tasks in a timely and efficient manner. •Works as a team member to accomplish all tasks. |
| Desired Profile | •Liaise with Design Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers and Configuration Manager to ensure the engineering intent and manufacturability is captured in the detail design and product definition. •Produce detail designed 3D solid models using CATIA V5 and produce 2D fully associative manufacturing drawings using CATIA V5 software. •Create and calculate assembly tolerance stack-ups to ensure design intent of fits and interchangeability. •Working from approved Engineering Change requests, modify existing drawings and record changes as required. •Document technical data generated to substantiate the assigned components, assemblies and/or systems consistent with engineering policies and procedures. •Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments. •Check own and others work for standards and accuracy. •May travel internationally to manufacturing plants or other engineering locations |
