Job Description
Ownership & delivery of WAS / WESB porting & upgrade project ?
Providing L2 & L3 Support in a dynamic production support environment in an external facing suite of portal applications using SOA/Webservices/Portal/J2EE architecture ? Adherence to all production support - service operation & transition processes like Problem Management, Incident Management, Change Management and Release Entry Framework ? Analyzing issues related to Application Support ? thread dump, heap dump, performance tuning, OS and application server tuning ? Participate & lead production issue war rooms and provide on-call support ? Coordination with various back end & support teams to resolve production support issues ? Participate in meetings/walkthrough session/group meetings ? Ensure compliance with organization and project defined standards and processes ? Should be a self starter and able to work independently with minimum handholding ? Provide timely updates on tasks to the team ? Participate in Design reviews, Test Case reviews, and Production Support readiness reviews for new releases, provide inputs for decision making ? Conduct / Own root cause analysis on all incidents and recommend a corrective action plan ? Identify and propose application performance & process improvement initiatives ? Independent communication with business partners to resolve issues and negotiate project related items such as priorities and completion deadlines
